Spring 2015 Update

The irises have started to bloom and there are many of them that are in bloom!  We have traditional blue ones as well as white and yellow and pink ones to come.  

We also have something new this year! If you are giving your flowers to someone and would like a note to put with it, we have them.  They are pretty little cards that say  "Thinking of  you"  on them with space on the back to write your own little note.  We also have the picks to stick them into so that you can put them in the vase with your flowers.  These are for purchase.

Thank you to all of you who came to purchase tulps and daffodils, either for yourself, for Mother's Day, or for some other reason.  The tulips and daffodils are now finished blooming for this year.  Now we will wait for the irises to start blooming, which should not be too long.  Check this site for further updates.  We hope to bless you with the joy of flowers!

Update for spring 2015

Just a quick note on the availability of tulips and daffodils for Mother's Day.  The tulips are fading quickly in this warm weather but you may still find a few nice ones.  The daffodils are still looking nice and they are the kind with White petals and a pinkish orange center.  I have some in a pink vase that I picked a day ago and they look so lovely.  So come and check out what we have left and be blessed by the joy of flowers.

Pretty Petals--Spring 2015

For, lo, the winter is past;

The rain (snow) is over and gone;

The flowers appear on the earth; 

The time of the singing of birds is come,   Song of Solomon 2:11 and 12 a

Seasons come and go just as God has promised and finally , we think our long, cold winter is past and flowers are starting to appear in our u-pick garden.  The daffodils have been blooming for about a week and still look nice and the tulips are starting to bloom also.  Hopefully the tulips will still be nice for Mother's Day!  So, come and check them out and see if there are some you like.  We would like to bless you with the joy of flowers!!

Pretty Petals U-Pick Flowers Update for October 29, 2014

We were blessed with a wonderful spring, summer,  and fall of beautiful flowers but now the flowers are  no longer nice, so we will be closed until next spring, when we hope to have more flowers again.  We hope to have tulips, daffodils, a few peonies, some feverfew. large daisies, irises, and sweet williams in the spring with summer flowers to follow.  Now we are getting the garden ready for next year.  We are taking down all of the strings used to tie the flowers up, and the poles.  Then we will mow the flowers down and till the rows if it is dry enough.  Then we should be ready for next year.  Thank you all for coming to enjoy our flowers.  We enjoyed the many notes you wrote in our guest book too.  We hope you were all blessed by the joy of flowers.  To God be the glory!!

Pretty Petals U-Pick Flowers Update for October 20,2014

The frost that we had this weekend nipped several of the flowers in the Pretty Petals U-pick 

garden.  There are still some flowers that are good so if you really want flowers for some special reason, you can come and take a look. The zinnias have all been damaged for now, unless some new ones come out.  Otherwise, we will see you again next year,  blessing you with the joy of flowers!
