Last Flowers- October 30, 2017

We have had flowers for such a long time this year but now the end had come.  We are taking our garden down so there will be no more flowers.  We must take down the strings that tied up the flowers, pull out the poles, and mow the flowers down.  And if it ever dries up enough we will work the rows for next year.  We hope to bless you with the joy of flowers again next year!

October/almost November Update

We started taking the garden down last Saturday, pullng out poles and takng down strings. Even though we have not had frost here yet, it is getting close to November and we do not want to be out in the cold doing our fall cleanup.  If you would still like flowers , you can still get some.  We want to bless you with the joy of flowers as long as we can.

Late fall update

  Today looks like a good day to pick flowers. the sun is shining and we're supposed to have mild temperatures.  I don't now what next week will bring as far as the weather.   We have not had frost yet here either, so our flowers have not frozen.  It may not be long before it freezes either. So come and get your flowers if you still want some, because we want to bless you wth the joy of flowers, perhaps for the last time.

Late Summer Update--September 26, 2017

The flowers are still blooming at Pretty Petals in spite of the drought that we are having.  We irrigate every couple of days to keep them going.  Hopefully we get some rain soon!  Even though some of the flowers are finished for the season, there sre still lots of nice flowers to pick, so come and check them out.  Because we want to bless you with the joy of flowers!

Early Summer - July 14, 2017

Today is my birthday so I thought I would give you another update. The zinnias are starting to bloom and also the sunflowers and Large daisies.  There are still some lilies blooming as well and probably some other flowers too.  Come and check them out because we would like to bless you with the joy of flowers.

Another update on the lilies and other flowers.

I thought perhaps you might like to know what color of lilies we have.  We have a medium red, orange, yellow, white, light orange or peach, and burgundy.  Hopefully there is one of those colors that will suit your fancy.   They are all blooming nicely now too.    And many of the buds will come out if you put them in water, and then you will have a nice bouquet of lilies at a much more reasonable cost than florists charge.  We like to bless you with the joy of flowers.

Update on the lilies

The lilies are starting to bloom at Pretty Petals U-Pick Flowers and they are $2.00 at stem this year.  Most of the stems have at least 8-12 buds.  Those with fewer buds (1-3) are 25 cents a flower or bud.  

Most stems will almost make a nice bouquet all by itself.  Come and check them out.  We want to bless you with the joy of flowers.

Update for June 8, 2017

The irises are finished and all of the peonies have been picked.  Sorry!  But the  next flowers that will bloom are the lilies.  We hope to bless you with the joy of flowers!

The peonies are now blooming and we have more of them this year.  The white ones are 25 cents and the colored ones are 30 cents.  We want to bless you with the joy of flowers.

Irises are blooming!!!

Irises are blooming now at Pretty Petals U-Pick Garden!  I think I made a mistake before and said that the daffodils were blooming when I meant IRISES  were blooming.  Come and check them  out.  We want to bless you with the joy of flowers!

Late Spring Update

I am sorry but I do not think there will enough tulips left by Mother's Day. There are still a few left but not very many.  My husband brought our lawn tractor up for me to ride on and I looked at them.   If not too many customers come and pick there might possibly be a few left by Mother's Day.  There are still some that are in the bud stage, but I don't know when they will open.

Yes, the tulips are starting to bloom and today is supposed to be a warm and beautful day so it would be a good time to come and pick some.  The daffodils are still blooming also and we want to bless you with the joy of flowers.

SPRING 2017

I am sorry that I did not do an earlier posting but I broke some bones in my foot and did not have a chance.  I also wanted to be able to tell you that some flowers were blooming and some are finally blooming.  Our Daffodils started blooming yesterday but since it was Sunday, I did not do a posting because we are not open on Sunday.   Our Tulips are not blooming yet and I am hoping that at least some of them will wait until Mother's Day  which is still four weeks away.  Most of them do not have buds yet , so I am hopeful.  Please check this blog site for updates on the tulips.
